Growing for a cause

Movember 2016

We believe in Team. It’s an element of life at Triquestra that transcends the office boundaries, and gives us the opportunity to impact the lives of others.

We’ve taken part in Steptember, walking 10 000 steps each day in September to raise money for cerebral palsy, the Step Up Sky Tower Stair Challenge fundraising for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer, and Round the Bays.

Next on the list is Movember, a hairy challenge for a few of the fellas in our team.

It’s the perfect opportunity for the more hirsute team members to raise money and awareness for men’s health, while also having a bit of fun.

It’s the month where it is socially acceptable to grow moustaches! Whether it’s the Sleazy Slug, the Dirty Handlebar or a Fu Manchu, let’s face it, moustaches are the epitome of cool. It makes for a bit of laughter, and it brings out people’s creativity.

The ‘Moquestra’ team has set a target of $1000 to raise for men’s health over the month.

Reaching the goal will definitely bring a sense of team work and comradery to the TQ workplace, I think an initiative like this brings a bunch of people more closely together, while also raising money for a good cause and making people laugh. You just can’t go wrong – although wives, partners, and girlfriends may beg to differ!
