Infinity helps Cue evolve into a true omnichannel retailer
"I'm focused on delivering our omnichannel sales strategy that combines digitally enabled stores, social commerce and mobile to make shopping easier and more convenient for our customers. Triquestra has been great at understanding our issues and goals and then collaborating to deliver just what we need through Infinity.” Shane Lenton, Chief Information Officer
Voted 'Best Australian Fashion Brand' four times by marie claire readers, Cue is an iconic Australian fashion brand with 154 stores across every major Australian and New Zealand city. A second label, Veronika Maine, launched in 1998 and has 74 stores. Cue is a family-owned business that sits in a unique position between high street retail and designer label, with a proud commitment to sharp design, high quality and Australian-made fashion.
The company has spearheaded a transformation in retail through the use of technology to enhance the shopping experience. Chief Information Officer, Shane Lenton, is the driving force behind combining its customers' offline and online shopping channels.
Triquestra is a long-standing partner of Cue, having installed Infinity POS in 2008 to give staff access to live stock availability and customer transactions, as well as the tools they need to provide an amazing customer experience. Infinity’s centralised inventory management and reporting functionality means that all stock levels and movements can be tracked and adjusted, and Cue head office has clear visibility of individual store performance.
When Cue was planning its online store strategy, it wanted a system that would integrate with their core retail management system and make it easy to blend the online and offline experience.
The Infinity solution
Cue launched its online stores in 2012, beginning with www.cue.cc in May and then veronikamaine.com.au in November. Shane selected Triquestra to integrate the Infinity Web Interface (IWI) with the existing Infinity POS.
“IWI was very easy to implement, and made it very simple to launch online from a stock management and reporting perspective because our online store is just like another physical store. Triquestra has a very collaborative approach and its packaged applications can be customised to evolve and grow with our business.”
With the online world opened to him, Shane has made the most of Infinity’s capability.
Cue has partnered with ‘WantItNow’ to offer evening and three-hour delivery for orders from its online store to Sydney customers.
And Cue’s ‘Find in Store’ option takes advantage of Infinity’s live inventory to expose all of Cue’s stock to customers at store level. Customers can select a product online, choose the style, colour and size, and search by postcode, suburb, town or individual store to see where the item is.
"Rather than making a trip or calling various stores to check availability, our customers can now jump online, find out if a product is in stock and go to their nearest store to make the purchase," says Shane.
Shane adds that soon Cue will give customers the ability to purchase an item and then collect it from their selected store.
"Called ‘click and collect’, this is the final piece to really bring this whole omnichannel experience together," Shane says.
Cue has also selected Infinity Loyalty to drive its Veronika Maine Privilege platform. The programme enables customers to earn credits by shopping with Veronika Maine and includes rewards based on spend thresholds. Infinity holds all the data, gives management the ability to tailor rewards and enables customers to see their rewards balance and purchase history online.
Cue appreciates how the Triquestra team and the Infinity product evolves its solutions to keep Cue ahead of the market.
“They are great at understanding our issues and goals and then collaborating to deliver just what we need through Infinity. We’ve gained so much insight into customer buying patterns and are pleased to be able to offer a better shopping experience.”
He adds that the partnership with Triquestra gives him confidence that his goals are achievable.
"We've had a great relationship with Triquestra, with an excellent team that has looked after our diverse needs and adds real value to our organisation," he concludes.
